Stress used to be either unrecognised or a “taboo” subject, but now it can potentially form a large problem in the workplace that cannot be avoided. Stress causes absenteeism, stress related illnesses, lack of effectiveness and team work. It decreases productivity and performance and creates a poor working environment.

Latest statistics show that:

10 billion pounds are lost due to absenteeism every year
people take on average another 9 days off on top of holiday and genuine sick leave

This seminar sets a scene by getting participants to understand the reasons and triggers for the stress response, as well as the physiological and mental effects it has. However the most important part of this seminar is learning how to effectively channel positive stress and how to prevent or combat the negative effects of stress.
